13th Moon was founded in 1973 in the ferment of early second wave feminism, as a home for women writers and their readers. THE LITTLE MAGAZINE VOLUME 9 1993

The Little Magazine evolved out of The Quest in 1970. Until 1987 it was edited by David Hartwell and Tom Beeler. It published some of the leading formalist poetry of the 1960s and 70s. In 1987, it became dormant, and, after a hiatus, moved to the University at Albany, State University of New York, under the aegis of Judith Johnson. More about The Little Magazine.

THE QUEST VOLUME 2 1967

The Quest was founded in 1965 by Alexis Levitin. In 1969 David Hartwell and Tom Beeler acquired it from Levitin. It published some of the leading formalist poetry of the 1960s and then evolved into The Little Magazine.
